The Blackphone, developed by Geeksphone and Silent Circle, is the most secure phone on the market today. To go along with it, SGP Technologies is launching a high-end tablet running PrivatOS. The company is aware that mastering distribution is a must. It is still expected to be rather expensive considering the tight security.
Jon Callas, chief technology officer of Silent Circle, confirmed the tablet’s existence and explained it will “have the features people who use it every day will demand from it.” You can give people as much security as you want, but at some point applications are going to be a necessity. The Blackphone does not have Google Play; the only way to get apps are through something like Amazon’s Appstore, but that is particularly limited.
