While Motorola’s upcoming flagship, the Moto X+1, is generating a lot of buzz as of late, it looks like a successor to the Moto G is starting to make appearances as well. About a week ago we shared a photo of the device in the wild, and today we have what appears to be the rear panel for the upcoming budget device (or possibly its smaller brother the Moto E).

From the photos we can gather that they are sticking to the design language that debuted with the original Moto X and will be using some sort of plastic composite. While the photos seem to hint at a sleek and slender device, it is a little disappointing that they won’t be using the same aluminum that wraps around the upcoming X+1.

The Moto G2 (Moto G+1?) is rumored to have a 4.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, an ARM V7-based quad-core processor supplemented by an Adreno 305 graphics processor, and an 8MP camera. Considering the current Moto G has LTE, its safe to assume that we will be seeing that on the successor, along with dual-SIM capabilities. Being a Motorola device it should also be running Android 4.4.4, although Android L isn’t out of the question. For the more budget conscious smartphone users, this is shaping up to be an excellent device. Sound off in the comments with your thoughts on Motorola’s upcoming phone.
