The recent app list in Android 5.0 is much more vibrant that it was in KitKat with support for colored header bars, but not all apps are taking advantage of that. As of Chrome v39 (current beta release), developers can add an HTML tag to their site that does the same for Chrome tabs. It's not only the multitasking header—the tag also affects the status bar in Chrome. It's kind of crazy.

I f you want to take square snapshots and apply (sometimes) garish filters to them, there is only one choice—Instagram. The Intsagram app for Android is getting an update today to v6.10 with a few smallish feature additions. Well, heavy users of Instagram will think they're pretty great.

The discovery tab is now a magnifying glass icon because of reasons. When tapping on it, you get two tabs—photos and people.

Sprint will only offer the Midnight Blue 32GB Nexus 6

The Nexus 6 has been available on and off at the Google Play Store for a little while now, but we’re still waiting on carrier availability. Today we’re hearing the first rumblings about how it will be offered on Sprint. The Now Network will only be offering one Nexus 6 model: Midnight Blue 32GB.

At first glance this may seem like an odd move by Sprint, but they actually did the same with the Nexus 5 16GB model. The 32GB storage size should be plenty for most people, but not being able to choose white is disappointing. Google’s new Android ads are all about choice, yet Sprint has removed all choices from the Nexus 6.
