The Samsung Galaxy S6 And Galaxy S6 Edge Are Now Available At Sprint
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge are now available and hitting retail locations globally, and here in the U.S. all four major carriers will be carrying both devices. Sprint is one of those carriers and will be offering the Galaxy S6 in the 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB options, and they’ll have the Galaxy S6 Edge on offer in both the 32GB, and 64GB options. The Galaxy S6 will be available in either the black sapphire or white pearl colors in any storage size model, while the Galaxy S6 Edge will come in black sapphire, white pearl, or gold platinum.
If you’re planning on picking up one of the devices from Sprint’s retail stores or online at their website, the prices are a little different from Sprint than they are from the other carriers. Sprint will be offering both phones via their leasing program of 24 monthly payments alongside the actual plan cost, meaning well-qualified buyers can pick up the Galaxy S6 starting with the 32GB for $0 down and $20 a month on top of the Sprint Unlimited Plus Plan, which altogether will cost customers $80 a month. Customers can choose to upgrade to the 64GB Galaxy S6 or the 128GB Galaxy S6 for an extra $5 or $10 a month respectively, making the total costs $85 a month or $90 a month respectively, which includes the prices of the plans as well as the monthly lease payments for the devices.
If customers go with the Galaxy S6 Edge, the 32GB starts at $0 down for well-qualified buyers and $25 a month on top of the Sprint Unlimited Plus Plan, totaling $85 a month. Jumping up to the 64GB Galaxy S6 Edge will cost customers an extra $5 with the Unlimited Plus Plan, totaling $90 a month. You can also opt to buy the devices with a two-year service plan. The 32GB Galaxy S6 will cost $199 with the contract, the 64GB jumps up to $299, and the 128GB jumps up to $399. The Galaxy S6 Edge on a two-year will be $299 for the 32GB, or $399 for the 64GB. The Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge both come equipped with a 5.1-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display, Samsung’s Exynos octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop, and a 16MP rear-facing camera with a 5MP front facing camera for video chat. As far as the battery goes, the Galaxy S6 sports a 2,550mAh battery while the Galaxy S6 Edge has a 2,600mAh battery on board. If you’ve been waiting for the official launch to grab either device, the day is finally here.

T-Mobile’s HTC One M9 Is Now Officially Available In Retail Stores
Today is the day some consumers have been waiting for, the HTC One M9 is officially launching in retail stores globally in a number of different regions. T-Mobile is one of the carriers that had announced they would be selling this device, and although they already started pre-orders for the HTC One M9 prior to the official launch date, now customers can actually walk into their local T-Mobile and purchase the phone and walk out, provided they have any left in stock. Should there be a high demand from your local T-Mobile store, there’s always the option of ordering it online, which would be the same experience as those who did the pre-order, only now with the phone being officially launched.
As a recap of what’s available when you buy the HTC One M9, it comes equipped with a 5-inch 1080p FHD LCD display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a microSD card if you need more space. It also comes sporting Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with Sense 7 over the top, a 20MP rear-facing camera and a 4MP UltraPixel front-facing camera, and a 2,840mAh battery to keep it all running throughout the day. Lastly, HTC decided to keep the dual front-facing stereo Boom Sound speakers so if you liked the audio quality on previous model phones it’s present in the One M9 as well.
Now let’s talk prices. If you’re planning on picking this up from T-Mobile, you can get it two ways, either full price, or by putting it on your phone bill and breaking it up in payments as part of the equipment installment plan. Full cost devices will be $649.92, which isn’t bad considering the cost of some other devices, and it’s actually right in line with what the HTC One M8 cost on T-Mobile last year. If you’re wanting to break it up on the EIP plan it’ll be as little as $0 down for well-qualified customers, which ends up at $27.08 a month for 24 months. The phone will come in two different colors from the carrier, Gunmetal Gray, and Silver with the Gold accents.

Samsung Interested In Underlying Bitcoin Software To Use With Services Other Than Bitcoins
If you are a fan of Samsung, then today is a big day as it the launch of the company’s latest flagship offerings in the form of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Both devices are now available to buy in a number of places and locations and from all the major carriers. However, the Galaxy range of smartphones are only a small part of Samsung’s portfolio and business ventures. In fact, smartphones in general are only a small part of Samsung’s portfolio.
Instead, Samsung have been (and now even more so) positioning themselves as a leader in technology. They like to be one of the first to try new platforms and techs and see how they can be implemented or used within their existing line and range of products. Their displays are a prime example of this. While the company has spend years developing screens which are lighter, thinner and more curvy, this has then be followed by the introduction of their new Edge version of curved display screens on smartphones.
Well, the latest coming down the wire is that Samsung are turning their attention to Bitcoins. In particular, it seems it is the underlying technology serving the Bitcoin industry that Samsung are interested in. This technology, dubbed Blockchain is what is used to securely pass Bitcoin funds around. Samsung, being the keen innovators they are, are starting to think that the same technology could be used to pass other things around in a similar fashion. Movies and music being prime examples. Although the tech is primarily in use for Bitcoins at the moment, the software can be manipulated quite easily to offer new avenues. In short, it could be used for any type of online transaction. This line of thought seems to be exactly what Samsung have in mind for the software. According to Steven Rahman, director of strategy at Samsung Research America, Blockchain will be ideal to verify “that what you say is authentic is authentic”. Whether Samsung are intending to incorporate this soft of software directly on to their future phones in some sort of hardware capacity is unknown at the moment. Allternatively, it could just be used on the software side for their recently announced Samsung Pay, or to help facilitate their music and radio services. Either way, it seems Blockchain is another way in which Samsung seem they can distance themselves from the competition.
