Google Adds Two More Chromebook Ads

Google has released two more advertisements for its laptops highlighting the battery lives and security benefits of using a Chromebook. The two devices in the ads are the Toshiba and Acer Chromebooks, respectively. The ads are pretty neat, so check them out below!

Support for online purchases with Google Wallet shutting down on March 2, 2015

If you use Google Wallet to buy and sell items online, start searching for another option. Google will be shutting down the Google Wallet for Digital Goods API on March 2, 2015. So everything will work just fine right up until that date. Support will be pulled immediately and Google is not going to offer another solution. Merchants using the Digital Goods API should remove the code from their site and pickup a new service to handle online transactions.

Reminder: the Nexus 4 will get Android 5.0 Lollipop

A software update is rolling out to Nexus devices around the world, but Nexus 4 owners have yet to see anything. We are here to tell you not to worry. When Android 5.0 was introduced last month, Google employee Sascha Pruter made it clear that the Nexus 4 would receive the software update. He told owners of the device to relax and be prepared to enjoy Lollipop. So, folks, Lollipop is coming to the Nexus 4. It is just not known when. Considering how Google updated other Nexus devices at once, the Nexus 4 should not be too far behind.

Developer Changelogs Posted For Each Lollipop Build From 5.0.0_r2 (LRX21M) To 5.0.0_r5 (LRX21Q)

It's not unusual to see slightly customized builds of Android rolling out to Nexus devices shortly after the release of a new version. It certainly happened a few times with KitKat, and it looks like Lollipop is on track to do the same. As the rush of factory images and OTAs roll out, AOSP is also receiving commits for the new device-specific builds; and Al Sutton was quick to put out changelogs for each version.
